Television actor Nick Benedict has passed away at the age of 77 days after an emergency surgery “left him paralyzed”. Tributes have poured in from fans and many remembered the actor’s most iconic roles throughout the years.
TV fans woke up to the devastating news of Nick Benedict’s death, a veteran actor who appeared in TV‘s The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives. Nick’s passing was confirmed in a social media post shared from his wife’s workplace after the actor underwent emergency surgery for his health.

Nick Benedict has died at 77
The veteran celebrity actor, who lived with his wife Ginger in Arizona, sadly passed away on his 77th birthday (July 14) following complications of an emergency spinal surgery.
The tragic news was confirmed by Ginger’s workplace, Jake’s Steakhouse, on Facebook. “Nick Benedict’s birthday was July 14,” they explained. “He went to be with the Lord this day. Please pray for Ginger.”
In another post shared on July 9, Jake’s Steakhouse said that Ginger took leave from her job to “handle an extreme medical issue”. The veteran actor underwent an emergency spinal cord surgery and was “paralyzed from the neck down”.
“Life can change in an instance,” Jake’s Steakhouse wrote. “We are going to start a go fund me for them or you can stop by and leave a donation for them.”
Nick Benedict’s roles
He made his debut as a child star in Wiretapper (1955) and later appeared in an episode of the Mission Impossible television series.
Nick rose to prominence in the television sector after playing Philip Brent on the ABC soap All My Children and earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for his role.
He appeared in Young and the Restless (1980-1981) and in episodes of Days of Our Lives (1993 and 2001). He also played in The Dukes of Hazzard, Tales from the Darkside, and Memories of a Murder.
