The actor was born on 12th May 1962 (61 yrs as of 2023) in New York City, U.S. He is the oldest child of famous actor Martin Sheen (Ramon Estevez-father) and artist Janet Sheen (mother). His father is a devout Catholic, while his mother is a strict Southern Baptist.
Emilio Estevez's paternal grandparents were Irish and Spanish descendants. He has two brothers, Ramon Estevez and Charlie Sheen (born Carlos Estévez), and a sister Renée Estevez.
The actor started schooling in the New York City public school system but later transferred to a private academy once his father's career took off. He grew up on Manhattan's Upper West Side until his family moved west in 1968 (when his father was featured in Catch-22).
